About Selenity.net

Selenity.net started approximately ten years ago in 1996 as a Geocities website dedicated to my interests: X-Men, Gargoyles, Star Trek, Sailor Moon, the Nightmare Before Christmas, and many other things. I remember my first layout like I designed it yesterday. It was horrific for loading time and contained a lot of large chunky images. But it was my website, and I enjoyed working on it. Hollywood/Hills/3768/... still remember the Geocities extention too.

Eventually I learned to split my websites up into smaller works and fortunately enough had some friends who hosted "The Realm of Shadowstar" for me so I would stop running out of web space. Eventually Selenity.net was purchased. The domain name was in honor of my favorite Sailor Moon character: Queen Selenity or Queen Serenity, whichever spelling you prefer.

I have had years of work on this domain, and sadly, most of it was lost two years ago. I had a huge server failure and my hard drive was completely lost. My largest sites are gone... over 3000 images that I had been storing in rather large and highly used galleries gone... my oldest daughter's pictures and the blog about her development... needless to say, it was rather heart breaking to lose all of that.

But life goes on and now I'm trying to build something again. I'll never have the image galleries, but I will have my personal works out here. Pictures and writing will be the most prominately updated. I have no idea who will be surfing this website since it's not what it used to be, but maybe somebody will take a gander and like what they see in the writings.

And who knows, maybe you'll see some of those sites of old pop up again because I definately had fun working on them in the past.
