The Level I and Level II colorizing and healing are discussed. In Level I, we discuss changing portions of a grayscale image to color by changing the files color mode, using selection tools, and using Hue/Saturation adjustments. Level II goes into using the healing tools such as spot healing, patch, and the healing brush.
A technique is also used with the history brush. This involves blurring the original image and taking a snapshot of it in the history palate. By setting this history brush to the blurred snapshot and using the darken and lightening blending modes, portions of a black and white image are then blended in and are corrected.
This image was created for a personal project. In class students find a grayscale image, and use this to colorize portions of the image or the entire thing.
